This is a one-day awareness course that aims to introduce the role of Muslim chaplaincy in public sector institutions. This course will explore who Muslim chaplains are, what they do, their role, remit and responsibilities. It will also discuss the different models of chaplaincy and the types of chaplains who are currently working in the public sector.
- Chaplains’ Standards of competency will be presented.
- Different disciplines in the role of chaplains will be discussed.
- Authentic case studies will be drawn upon to explore life events and resolutions.
Refreshments, lunch and handouts will be provided.
